Happy 2010 to everyone and we hope it brings much joy and happiness! To us, the dawning of a new year means packing up hundreds of pounds of stuff into suitcases, saying goodbye to our families, and flying thousands of miles home. As always, it's very bittersweet. We're looking forward to putting the suitcases away, sleeping in our own beds, and getting on with our normal lives again, but it's always so hard to leave here. Especially now that the kids are getting older and know their grandparents and aunts and uncle and don't want to leave them. We have all had a wonderful time together and are already looking forward to our next trip back.
Our saving grace on this LONG trip is an overnight stop in Singapore for a quick reunion with old friends and favorite foods, then one more flight on to Perth. We leave tomorrow afternoon and should arrive home on Friday afternoon with 10 bags, 1 stroller, and 2 worn out kids. Please pray for well-behaved boys and patient parents!
