Alexander Lee Kirkham was born Saturday July 5th 3:37pm Singapore time (2:37am Houston). Weight = 6.63 lbs, length = 51 cm. Laura and Alex are doing well. Laura will be discharged Tuesday or Wednesday and we think Alex will be discharged in 7-10 days. Alex's lungs are slightly immature (c-section was scheduled for July 16th). He is currently in the NICU on C-pap with 30% oxygen to help keep his airways open. The doctors have been pleased with his breathing in the past 48 hours ( he required a little more oxygen last night but is now back to 30%). He is taking his feeds well and shows good signs of removing the moisture from his lungs. Ben saw his brother twice and certainly understands things have changed.
CONGRATS!! He's Beautiful! Hope all is well. Can't wait to see more pictures of Alex.
