The kids and I made a quick trip to Singapore for dental checkups and stayed for the weekend because Matt was traveling. On the way out, the view of Jakarta was interesting because we could see the mountains.
We pretty much spent Friday traveling and getting our cleanings, but the highlight of my day was a trip to my favorite hawker stand.
Newton never disappoints!
Orchard road was pretty all decorated for Christmas but I thought that Disney didn't do as good of a job as Singapore has done on its own in years past.
Ben gave our hotel 5 stars because they had excellent bacon at breakfast, which is of course how all discerning travelers rate their hotels.
Alex finally made it back to see where he was born at Gleneagles!
We did some shopping, bought some groceries, and made our second trip to Subway for lunch, then we headed out to Marina Bay Sands for the evening.
Dinner at Lavo was pretty beautiful but the rain kept us off the fantastic balcony most of the evening.
The Gardens by the Bay were beautiful!
Our most exciting event was the chance to see the magic of Rob Lake. They kids were thrilled because we'd watched him on America's Got Talent all summer and they loved him, so to see him in person was an awesome treat.
No photography during the show, of course, but we were happy to be so close to the magic. The show was incredible and had some big tricks and small tricks which left us amazed.
Afterward, we even got to meet him and take some pictures.
